Dr. Haguewood joined Palmetto Eye & Laser Center in 2002 and has quickly established a large and highly successful ophthalmology practice. He completed his undergraduate degree at Wofford College and his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. His transitional year residency was completed at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and his ophthalmology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He participated in research programs concerning Intraocular Lens Design and Implantation, Corneal Epithelial Defects and Continuous Monitoring of Intraocular Pressure.
Dr. Haguewood received the Thomas Frey Award from the Virginia Society of Ophthalmology in 2001. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Medical Association. Dr. Haguewood is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Spartanburg County Medical Society and is a member of the South Carolina Medical Society.
