Dr. McPhail earned a B.S. in biology in 1993 from Clemson University. He earned his optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in June of 1997. Dr. McPhail went on to complete externships at Keesler Air Force Base and Dorn VA Medical Center in 1997. Dr. McPhail has been certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry since 1997. He is also certified by the International Association of Boards of Examiners in Optometry for the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease since 1996. Dr. McPhail is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Piedmont Optometric Society and the South Carolina Optometric Physicians Association.

Dr. McPhail’s areas of expertise include comprehensive eye care, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, dry eyes, glasses and contact lenses.
